Ep. 3: Hvar
Road No. 116 - Polijca - Jelsa, CROATIA
The best asphalt in the world!
From one corner to the next.
Hvar is the largest, most beautiful and sunniest island in all of Croatia. The omnipresent smell of Lavender, purple fields, beautiful sea and beaches, old towns with narrow streets, Venetian architecture and strong rakija - this is what Hvar is famous for and that's it attracts millions of tourists. But Hvar is also famous for its dangerous and very winding roads. Croats, if they wish someone badly, have a very popular proverb: "May you die on the roads of Hvar!". All it takes is a little inattention and a little experience, and it is very possible. On Lavender Island, we find a lot of narrow, very winding roads that are not secured by any barriers, there is also no shoulder, so we immediately find ourselves over the precipice, while on the other side of the road we have mountains.
